The Combahee Raid
Pink Roseate Spoonbills over the Combahee River
Introduction
Pink Roseate Spoonbills have moved north from Florida because it has become so hot there and the wetlands have been filled and paved. In the ACE Basin, we have these fresh water wetlands (the old rice fields) to which they have migrated. This encapsulates the vital story of the Combahee Raid: the legacy.
