Destruction of Biodiversity
Biodiversity is the complex interconnected web of organisms that supports life on the planet.
Whether it’s the whales in the oceans, elephants on the savannah, or the complexity of micro-organisms in healthy soil, it is our life support system.
The extinction crisis/biodiversity is inexorably propelled by our consumerism, whether it’s the fast food hamburger (cattle grown in deforested Amazon region) or Nutella made from palm oil, we are driving this crisis.
Industrial agriculture is the worst offender, with poisons and chemical fertilizers, but almost every product we buy can be linked to the crisis.
