Charleston Harbor, South Carolina

I had often in my childhood seen illustrations of the two rivers forming the peninsula, but never saw it as a photograph. from 3500 feet. Fortunately, we had several rare, clear days (in spite of the perpetual brown haze in the sky). This shot required three attempts, the first two being not quite high enough to get the sense of the rivers coming together.
